Hand Off Tasks to AI
You can hand off tasks from a list directly as an AI job – either to your local coding agent or to an AI in the browser.
How it works
- In a list, select one or more tasks.
- In the bar that appears, choose "Hand off to AI" (An KI übergeben) / "Send to…" (Senden an…).
- Pick a target:
| Target | What happens |
|---|---|
| Claude Code (local, in Liza) | The prompt appears in the Claude Code tab – press Enter to send |
| VS Code (Claude Code) | VS Code opens with the prompt ready in the composer |
| Claude (browser) | claude.ai opens with the prompt pre-filled |
| ChatGPT (browser) | chatgpt.com opens with the prompt pre-filled |
| Perplexity (browser) | Perplexity opens with the prompt pre-filled |
| Choose another app… (Anderes Programm wählen…) | Hand off the job to another app |
| Clipboard (copy JSON) (Zwischenablage) | Copy the job as JSON |
TIP
If a prompt is too long for the browser URL, Liza copies it to the clipboard instead.
Reporting back to Liza
The local coding agent reports results back via MCP: completed tasks are checked off and a summary lands in the chat. Handed-off items are marked internally with a tag, e.g. "{count} items handed off to your AI".
Requirements
- For Claude Code (local): the desktop app plus a configured coding agent.
- For browser targets: nothing else – the prompt is pre-filled.
